In 2010 the members from Balts Archaeology Department of the State Archaeological Museum in Warsaw; Marcin Engel, Cezary Sobczak and Grażyna Iwanowska initiated the project The Catalogue of strongholds of Yotvingia, to which the local researchers of the historical Yotvingia area were invited. It aims to create an open digital database of evidence and sources. The basis for this will be the materials currently archived in the Balts Archaeology Department of the State Archaeological Museum in Warsaw, augumented by the information from publications, and by materials contributed by other research centers.
